Susan T. Morgan, AIA, LEED AP, is a senior project architect with Bruner/Cott & Associates, a Cambridge-based design firm focused on architectural preservation, sustainability, and collaborative design.
Born into a family of architects in Minnesota, Morgan earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, magna cum laude, from Washington University in 2001 and a Master of Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2004.
In 2004, Morgan joined the AIA award-winning design firm Schwartz/Silver Architects in Boston. She worked on a wide range of projects, including the renovation of John P. Holland School, a renovation and addition to the Jeremiah E. Burke High School and Combined Library (recipient of a 2008 National Honor Award from the AIA), and a historically sensitive addition to the Maine Historical Society.
Before joining Bruner/Cott in 2010, Morgan was a project architect at Kennedy & Violich Architecture in Boston, where she co-managed a new construction/renovation project for the University of Pennsylvania. Among her current projects, she is developing a dining and student services center for Boston University.
Since 2005, Morgan has taught at the Boston Architectural College, where she is a thesis advisor and lead faculty of the foundation design studios for the master’s program. She also mentors students and young architects in their professional and academic development, including for the Boston Society of Architects’ Women in Design committee.
In addition to her professional work, Morgan is a pianist and competitive ballroom dancer.
