Mosaic Project to host forum to introduce Bias Report and Support System
The Mosaic Project will host a forum to introduce the Bias Report and Support System and to share updates about other projects, including efforts to a create a center for diversity and inclusion. The forum will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, in Umrath Hall Lounge.
Diversity and Inclusion Grants program winners announced
A program to encourage and support women pursuing careers in information technology is just one of the projects that received a funding boost from this year’s Diversity and Inclusion Grants program. Among last year’s winning proposals was a summer research program for students from Meharry Medical College in Tennessee (right).
Washington University recognizes Martin Luther King Jr. Day
“Hope in Action” is the theme of this year’s Martin Luther King Jr. commemoration at Washington University in St. Louis. The program will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, in Graham Chapel and feature a keynote address by Vice Provost Adrienne Davis. A commemoration also is planned on the School of Medicine campus.
New online portal will empower diversity on campus
The Office of the Provost at WUSTL has launched a new website, diversity.wustl.edu, as the focal point for all diversity and inclusion initiatives on campus. The site has a comprehensive list of resources and programs, and will use photographs and videos to tell stories of the university’s people and programs that support diversity on campus.
