Hunstad named director of pediatric infectious diseases division

David A. Hunstad, MD, associate professor of pediatrics, has been named director of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the School of Medicine. A School of Medicine graduate, Hunstad previously served as director of the pediatric infectious diseases fellowship program and co-founded the Pediatric Physician-Scientist Training Program

TV series set at St. Louis Children’s Hospital to air

A documentary-style series highlighting patients, faculty physicians and other staff at St. Louis Children’s Hospital will debut Saturday, March 16, on KSDK. “The Frontline for Hope” will air Saturday nights for the next six weeks. Shown is one of the camera crew taping outside the hospital.

Schlaggar honored for pediatric research

Bradley L. Schlaggar, MD, PhD, the A. Ernest and Jane G. Stein Professor of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine, has been awarded the E. Mead Johnson Award for Pediatric Research. The award is among the most prestigious in pediatric research.​
