WashU Expert: AB InBev proposal could create global mega-brewery

Anheuser-Busch InBev approached rival SABMiller about a possible takeover that would result in a mega-brewery worth $275 billion. But William C. Finnie, adjunct professor of strategy at Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis and a former brewery executive, says there are looming antitrust issues.

A taste of Washington University in South Korea

Student Johnny Lee is bringing a taste of Washington University to his native Daejeon, South Korea. Lee just opened Johnny’s Pub, a place for pizza and pint. Beers on tap include Olin, Danforth, Wydown and Brookings. Lee studied business as a freshman, but returned home fulfill his military service obligation. He plans to come back (hopefully with a few growlers of the Brookings) once his service is complete.

Study: people willing to wait for money rewards over others

Studying delayed gratification and risk, the psychologists found that people are more likely to wait on collecting full payment for a non-consumable monetary reward than they are for any of three consumable rewards — beer, candy and soda.
