Lawrence E. Thomas, who used a summer internship as a springboard to a lifelong career with Edward Jones, will receive the Dean’s Medal at an April 5 event in recognition of his legacy and contributions to Olin Business School. Four others will be honored as distinguished alumni.

Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis honored five distinguished alumni at its recent centennial celebration.

At the annual Founders Day gala Saturday, Nov. 3, six outstanding alumni and two exceptional supporters will be honored for their dedication to Washington University.

The university will celebrate its 1853 founding during the Founders Day gala Nov. 3 at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel. The keynote speaker is Robert Gates, former U.S. defense secretary. At the event, WUSTL will honor distinguished faculty, alumni and Robert S. Brookings award recipients.

At the annual Founders Day ceremony this Saturday, Nov. 8, in America’s Center, the Alumni Association will present the Distinguished Alumni Award to six individuals who are being honored for outstanding contributions to their profession, society and alma mater.

GiulianiNational hero and legendary New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani will headline this year’s Founders Day celebration, which will be held on Nov. 5 at America’s Center. In addition to the talk, the event will include the presentation of awards for distinguished alumni and faculty, as well as the Robert S. Brookings Awards.
