Kamimura-Jimenez named associate vice chancellor, dean of Center for Diversity and Inclusion
Mark Kamimura-Jimenez has been named associate vice chancellor for student affairs and dean of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at Washington University in St. Louis. Kamimura-Jimenez, who is assistant vice chancellor of student affairs at Texas Christian University, will join Washington University Jan. 1.

Day of Discovery, Dialogue & Action to focus on dialogues across differences
The Washington University in St. Louis community will come together Feb. 19-20 for the fifth annual Day of Discovery, Dialogue & Action event. This year’s theme is “Dialogues Across Difference” and will focus on the ways we communicate with each other, particularly on difficult topics and during challenging times.
Hudson appointed to lead new Academy for Diversity and Inclusion
Nicole Hudson, deputy mayor for racial equity and priority initiatives for the City of St. Louis, has been appointed assistant vice chancellor for the newly created Academy for Diversity and Inclusion at Washington University, effective Aug. 27.
Academy for Diversity and Inclusion to improve climate for faculty, staff
As part of ongoing efforts to improve the campus climate for faculty and staff, Washington University in St. Louis is launching the Academy for Diversity and Inclusion. Like the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, which serves students, the academy will support employees through programming, training, events and other resources.

Getting to know Meg Jay
Clinical psychologist and author Meg Jay will be the keynote speaker for Washington University’s fourth annual Day of Discovery & Dialogue. Jay’s talk, “The Untold Story of Adversity and Resilience,” will take place Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 5:30 p.m. at the Eric P. Newman Education Center on the Medical Campus. Registration is strongly encouraged.
Staff invited to participate in passport program
