Day of Discovery & Dialogue to focus on finding common ground
The Washington University community will come together to reflect upon its efforts to become a more diverse and inclusive community at its third annual Day of Discovery & Dialogue, to be held Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 22 and 23.
Harvard leader appointed associate vice chancellor, dean of Center for Diversity and Inclusion
Emelyn dela Peña, assistant dean of student life for equity, diversity and inclusion in the Office of Student Life at Harvard College, has been appointed associate vice chancellor for student affairs and dean of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at Washington University in St. Louis, effective Oct. 31.
Renewing the conversation: Day of Discovery & Dialogue
Washington University will invite its entire community to gather to explore issues of diversity and inclusion Feb. 24-25 on the Medical and Danforth campuses. The event picks up a conversation that began last February inspired in large part by events that transpired in Ferguson and the larger St. Louis region in 2014.
Surgery embraces diversity training
Faculty and staff in the plastic and reconstructive surgery, urologic surgery and public health sciences divisions in the Department of Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have completed all four levels of training offered by the medical school’s diversity and inclusion team.
