Guggenheim fellowship

John Heil, a professor of philosophy in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, was selected for the prestigious John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship based on his prior achievement and exceptional promise.

Washington University in St. Louis anthropologist Glenn Davis Stone has been selected for a prestigious fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.

John R. Bowen, PhD, a sociocultural anthropologist at Washington University in St. Louis, has been selected for a prestigious fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. Bowen, the Dunbar-Van Cleve Professor in Arts & Sciences, was among the 181 Guggenheim Fellows chosen in 2012 from nearly 3,000 scholars, artists and scientists in the United States and Canada.

The Guggenheim Foundation has selected Pascal Boyer, PhD, from among 3,000 nominees to be one of its fellows for 2011. Boyer, the Henry Luce Professor of Collective and Individual Memory and professor of sociocultural anthropology and of psychology, all in Arts & Sciences, was one of only 180 scholars selected for the highly esteemed honor.
