Anne and John McDonnell receive Harris award
Philanthropists Anne and John McDonnell became the 18th couple awarded the annual Jane and Whitney Harris St. Louis Community Service Award, which honors a St. Louis husband-and-wife team who contributed in an outstanding manner to the civic and cultural well-being of the region.
Ritters receive 2014 Harris St. Louis Community Service Award
Recipients of this year’s Jane and Whitney Harris St. Louis Community Service Award are Peggy and Jerry Ritter. The award is given annually to a husband-and-wife team for exemplary dedication in advancing the educational, cultural and social service institutions in the metropolitan area.
Virgils receive 2010 Harris Community Service Award

Since its inception a decade ago, the Jane and Whitney Harris St. Louis Community Service Award has been given annually to a husband and wife couple dedicated to improving the St. Louis region through service, generosity and leadership. In a ceremony on February 26, Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton bestowed the 10th such award on Barbara and Andrew Taylor.
