Annual Harris Award goes to Maxine Clark and Bob Fox

It was just like the late Jane Freund Harris to leave a perpetual valentine to the community she loved. In her bequest 12 years ago, she created the Jane and Whitney Harris St. Louis Community Service Award for couples who work tirelessly to enhance the St. Louis region. This year’s recipients are Maxine Clark and Bob Fox.

Since its inception a decade ago, the Jane and Whitney Harris St. Louis Community Service Award has been given annually to a husband and wife couple dedicated to improving the St. Louis region through service, generosity and leadership. In a ceremony on February 26, Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton bestowed the 10th such award on Barbara and Andrew Taylor.

Stewards receive ninth annual Harris community service award

The ninth annual Jane and Whitney Harris St. Louis Community Service Award, given to a husband and wife who have provided exemplary leadership in community advancement, was presented to Thelma E. and David L. Steward at the Harbison House February 28.
