Olin Business School names new head of executive education

Kouvelis Panos Kouvelis, a professor of operations and manufacturing management at the Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis, has been named to the new position of senior associate dean and director of executive programs. From St. Louis to Shanghai, Olin offers a wide variety of executive education programs including the Executive MBA degree, topic-focused seminars and custom corporate learning programs. Kouvelis brings a rich background of teaching, research and consulting to this new position which is part of a larger strategic plan for continued growth and innovation in executive education.

New Bunge classroom and Bunge scholarship reflect support, partnership with WUSTL

Bunge’s strong relationship with the Olin Business School was cemented on March 13 with a ceremony dedicating the new Bunge Classroom in the Charles F. Knight Executive Education Center. The partnership began several years ago, when Olin created customized leadership programs for Bunge executives. The programs have been successful for Bunge, and to show its support for the school’s innovative curriculum, it recently provided Olin with a gift of $300,000 for the Knight Center and to establish an endowed scholarship fund.

Kenneth C. Bardach named associate dean and director of ExecEdge Corporate Education at Olin School of Business

BardachKenneth C. Bardach has been named associate dean and director of ExecEdge Corporate Education at the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, announced Stuart I. Greenbaum, dean and Bank of America Professor at the Olin School. Bardach joins Olin from Case Western Reserve, where he served as associate dean of Executive Education Programs at the Weatherhead School of Management. Bardach brings more than 30 years of academic and corporate experience to his post, having twice served in executive education director positions at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, and having directed corporate management education and development programs for numerous organizations.

Consortium for Midwest companies forming March 22 at Olin School of Business

Executives will meet March 22 at the Charles F. Knight Executive Education CenterThe John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis will hold a half-day conference on March 22 for executives of large and mid-cap companies interested in partnering with the business school. William Finnie, Interim Director of ExecEdge Corporate Education at the Olin School of Business, said that the business school is forming a consortium of leading Midwest companies to partner with the Olin School in a wide range of areas, including executive education, degree programs, and career development.
