Knight Hall, Bauer Hall awarded LEED Gold certification​​​

Knight Hall and Bauer Hall are the latest buildings at Washington University in St. Louis to earn LEED Gold certification for their green design and construction. Home to Olin Business School, Knight and Bauer halls feature locally sourced and recycled materials, high-tech glass and an innovative layout that fosters collaboration.

Family Learning Center earns LEED Gold certification

The Family Learning Center building has received a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The Family Learning Center building, designed by Ross Barney Architects, features energy-efficient equipment and lighting; lighting controls; a thermally efficient building envelope; regional, recycled and rapidly renewable materials; and native and adapted planting.

New South 40 buildings certified LEED Gold

Three new student residential buildings on the Danforth Campus — the South 40 House (Phase 2), College Hall and Eliot B — have received a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council. All three buildings are located on the South 40 area of campus. 

Washington University’s Village East apartments certified LEED Silver

The Village East is the first LEED-certified residence hall and third LEED-certified building on the university’s Danforth Campus.

The Sustainable University Campus

The School of Architecture at Washington University in St. Louis and the U.S. Green Building Council—St. Louis Chapter will present The Sustainable University Campus, a national colloquium on campus environmental design, March 28 and 30.
