WUSTL wins 2013 Rube Goldberg Machine Contest College Nationals

The need for speed
WUSTL’s entry in Formula SAE, a student competition to
design and drive a Formula-style race car organized by the Society of
Automotive Engineers, was
unveiled May 7. The car did well in competition at the Michigan International Speedway — until the last event, where it lost its steering after the first lap of an endurance test.
Quatrano named dean of School of Engineering & Applied Science
Ralph Quatrano, immediate past dean of the faculty of Arts & Sciences, has been named dean of the School of Engineering & Applied Science at Washington University in St. Louis.
Taber named Kessler professor in biomedical engineering June 5
On June 5, Larry A. Taber, Ph.D. became the first Dennis and Barbara Kessler Professor of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the School of Engineering. The ceremony, which capped the department’s 10th anniversary celebration, was held in Uncas A. Whitaker Hall.
