Don’t cheat sleep

Sleep has been proven to boost grades and happiness. So why do college students deprive themselves of sleep when they need it most? Washington University in St. Louis experts have researched that question and, in response, have launched a new sleep campaign.

Positive psychology discussed in DUC lecture series

“The Happiness Series,” a series of weekly lectures on various positive psychology topics by Timothy J. Bono, PhD, assistant dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and lecturer in psychology, will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evenings during the spring semester. The series begins on Feb. 13 with a presentation on β€œThe science of happiness: What it is, what it’s not, and how it’s pursued.”

Measuring the WUSTL undergraduate experience

CAUSE β€” the Committee for the Assessment of the Undergraduate Student Experience β€” is a new group established to more thoroughly and accurately measure the WUSTL undergraduate student experience.The committee, 15 members from throughtout the university community, will coordinate WUSTL assessment efforts, educate the campus community and keep an archive of existing and prior assessments.
