Scientists set up labs in newly opened medical research building

Researchers have set up new labs in the 4515 McKinley Research Building on the Medical Campus. The six-story facility is designed to support rapid changes in scientific methods and techniques and the explosion of advances in genetic and genomic research.

‘The Modern University’ focus of MLA Saturday Lecture Series

Issues that tap into the past, present and future of higher education and its impact on American society will be explored this month. The Master of Liberal Arts (MLA) Saturday Lecture Series begins Saturday, Feb. 6. University College in Arts & Sciences sponsors the series.

Hillman Hall receives LEED Platinum certification

Hillman Hall, the Brown School’s newest building, has received LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Hillman is the university’s second LEED Platinum project.
