Author Anna Quindlen to give Commencement address

Anna Quindlen, a best-selling author, journalist and social critic, will give the university’s 2017 Commencement address May 19. Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton made the announcement during the senior class toast last night.

New research from the School of Medicine shows that an influential 2003 study about the interaction of genes, environment and depression may have missed the mark.

Scientists experiment with 3-D technology in the classroom

Laylah Ali, Celebrated painter Laylah Ali (MFA ’94) will receive the Dean’s Medal for outstanding contributions to the field of art from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts. In all, seven outstanding alumni will be recognized during the school’s annual Awards for Distinction dinner tomorrow.
