University launches search for next chancellor

Washington University has formally launched its search for a successor for Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton, who announced last month his intention to conclude his term no later than June 30, 2019. Wrighton has served in the role for 22 years.

$10 million gift supports personalized medicine

The School of Medicine received a $10 million commitment from longtime benefactors George and Debra Couch to support research that advances personalized medicine. The research building at 4515 McKinley Ave. also was named in their honor.

WashU Expert on GOP tax proposal’s international angle

The U.S. House’s Republican tax proposal, released Nov. 2, would institute some wholesale changes to the American tax code — including the end of neutrality in the international tax system, said Adam Rosenzweig, an expert on international tax law.
