Sam Fox School’s virtual fashion show will be held May 15

Fashion design majors from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts will present their work at 4 p.m. May 15 as part of the 92nd Annual Fashion Design Show. Filled with sleek silhouettes, saturated palettes and crazy-quilt textures, the show — titled “The Collective” — is a full-throated rejection of pandemic-era dourness.

Jeffrey I.Gordon, MD, the Dr. Robert J. Glaser Distinguished University Professor and director of the Edison Family Center for Genome Sciences & Systems Biology, will present this talk on using microbiota-directed complementary foods to treat undernutrition in children.

Global Health Work: Ghana and the pandemic

The Institute for Public Health features two presentations. Cindy Brantmeier, professor of applied linguistics in Arts & Sciences, will present on pandemic literacy in Ghana; and George Kyei, MD, PhD, assistant professor of medicine at the School of Medicine, will discuss “HIV and COVID in Ghana.”
