Question: In 2020, Thurtene Carnival was canceled, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, for just the third time in the carnival’s history. It marked the first cancellation since which historical event?

Answer: B) Thurtene was canceled in 1943, during World War II, when many students were called to serve in the war.
