Architect Francis Kéré to speak Saturday

Internationally acclaimed architect Francis Kéré, winner of the 2022 Pritzker Prize, will discuss his work for the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 1, in Graham Chapel. The first African architect to win the Pritzker, Kéré is known for inventive civic projects, particularly schools, that employ local labor and indigenous materials.

Poets Aaron Coleman, Mary Jo Bang in conversation

WashU alumnus Aaron Coleman, who is featured in the current exhibition “Wherein I Am: Highlights from the Aaron Coleman Papers,” will join poet Mary Jo Bang, in Arts & Sciences, for a conversation. A light dinner will be served. Olin Library, Room 142.

‘AI + Design’ mini-symposium April 3

12:30–4:30 p.m. Monday, April 3

Krishna Bharat, a distinguished research scientist at Google, will deliver the keynote address for “AI + Design.” The afternoon-long symposium, organized by the Sam Fox School and the McKelvey School of Engineering, will explore artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the future of AI-assisted design and implications for design practice and training. It takes place in Anabeth and John Weil Hall, Kuehner Family Court.
