WashU Dance Collective to perform this weekend

The Washington University Dance Collective, the resident dance company of the Performing Arts Department in Arts & Sciences, will present “Genesis,” an evening of new and original choreography, Friday and Saturday, April 7 and 8, in Edison Theatre.

International Writers Series: Tere Dávila

5:30–7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11

Award-winning Puerto Rican author Tere Dávila will share some of her fiction with translator Rebecca Hanssens-Reed. Hanssens-Reed’s translation of Dávila’s “Mercedes’s Special Talent” won a 2022 O. Henry Prize for Short Fiction. Olin Library, Ginkgo Reading Room.

‘Latiné Summit: Estamos Aquí’

The Center for Diversity and Inclusion will present the annual Latiné Summit. This year’s theme is “Estamos Aquí: Latiné Representation at WashU.” Cristóbal Rodríguez, of Arizona State University, will give the keynote address. Umrath Hall Lounge.

‘The Air That Inhabits’ exhibit opens Saturday

The Kemper Art Museum will showcase thesis projects by this year’s MFA in Visual Art candidates from the Sam Fox School’s Graduate School of Art. The exhibit, which features a range of artistic practices and mediums and explores a variety of themes, will open at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 8, and remain on display through July 24.
