Explore the humanities at Tyson Research Center

The Center for the Humanities in Arts & Sciences will present both a pair of performances on Sunday, April 14, and a two-day gathering later this month on artistic research at WashU’s Tyson Research Center. Organized by postdoctoral researcher Anya Yermakova, the events build on her scholarship, her creative work and her current seminar, “Topics in Embodied Communication: Listening.”

The WashU Symphony Orchestra and Concert Choir will unite for a special performance featuring Leonard Bernstein’s masterpiece “Chichester Psalms.” E. Desmond Lee Concert Hall, 560 Music Center.

Day of Dialogue and Action

“Here and Next” presents this year’s event, framed in the pillars of people, research and community. The event will feature in-person experiences such as active dialogue, research presentations and more. Knight Hall, Emerson Auditorium, with a virtual option.

Riley to deliver annual Brauer Lecture

6 p.m. Thursday, April 18

Jason Riley, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a Wall Street Journal columnist, will deliver the keynote address for Olin Business School’s Brauer Lecture Series on April 18 in Graham Chapel. The 45-minute lecture will be followed by a Q&A.
