Emergency communication system to be tested March 6

Washington University will test its emergency communication system, WashUAlerts, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 6. The test will take place unless there is the potential for severe weather that day or an emergency is occurring at that time.

Brian Rauch, of Arts & Sciences, received funding from NASA for continued support of particle astrophysics research with ANITA-V, the Antarctic Impulsive Transient Antenna. The university provided on-the-ground support in Antarctica for the December 2016 launch of a scientific balloon carrying the ANITA radio telescope instrument to detect ultra-high energy cosmic ray neutrinos.
