Junior Seiler awarded Truman Scholarship

Isaac Seiler, a junior studying sociology and political science in Arts & Sciences, has won the Truman Scholarship, the leading graduate fellowship for students who are committed to careers in public service.

Ishida to lead architecture, urban design programs

Aki Ishida, an associate professor and interim associate director of the School of Architecture at Virginia Tech, has been named director of the College of Architecture and Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.

Siyuan Ding, an assistant professor of molecular microbiology at the School of Medicine, has received a Michelson Prize: Next Generation Grant from the Michelson Medical Research Foundation and the Human Immunome Project.
