Students who come out of college with debt, especially larger amounts of debt, are more likely to face hardship and financial difficulty during their lives, finds a new Brown School study.

Hallberg to speak on ‘the novel’ for Assembly Series

Garth Risk Hallberg wrote one of 2015’s best-selling novels, “City on Fire.” The Arts & Sciences alumnus will be on campus for an Assembly Series talk, “Organized Complexity: The Novel and the City,” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, in Holmes Lounge.  

Medical students win top spots in national poetry contest

Two medical students won first and second place in a national competition sponsored by the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. The poems by Alexandra Houston-Ludlum and Michael Slade were published in the AOA’s literary journal, The Pharos.
