‘Ring Their Names’ virtual vigil scheduled Friday
The Center for Diversity and Inclusion is inviting Washington University in St. Louis students, staff and faculty to come together at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 5, for “Ring Their Names,” a virtual vigil honoring the lives of George Floyd and other black men, women and trans people who recently have been killed.
Center offers support and scholarship but no easy answers

But Emelyn dela Peña, associate vice chancellor for student affairs and dean of the center, said capacity building and scholarship also are central to its mission.
Center for Diversity and Inclusion announces strategic priorities
The Center for Diversity and Inclusion, which launched last fall, has given students and the broader university community a place to connect around the issues of diversity and inclusion both on and off campus. Director LaTanya N. Buck, PhD, outlines the center’s five strategic priorities and provides an update on some significant progress on these initiatives.
Mosaic Project concludes
For the past year and a half, dedicated students, faculty and staff have come together through the university’s Mosaic Project to help move us toward a more inclusive campus community. Now, as this initiative is concluding, the efforts of the eight Mosaic Project working groups are taking root at the university.

Devoted to strengthening campus experience for all students, the Mosaic Project is developing a center for diversity and inclusion. The first of two town hall meetings takes place at 8 p.m. tonight, Sept. 25 in Wilson Hall.
