15 Washington University students selected to attend CGI U
Washington University in St. Louis is sending 15 students to this year’s Clinton Global Initiative University, which begins Friday, March 6, at the University of Miami. Founded by the Clinton Global Initiative, an initiative
of the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, CGI U supports
projects that advance five focus areas: education, environmental
sustainability, peace and human rights, poverty alleviation and public
health. The university hosted CGI U in 2013.
29 WUSTL students invited to CGI U at Arizona State University
More than two-dozen WUSTL students have been invited to attend Clinton Global Initiative University in Arizona this weekend. One team’s project would help loved ones connect after disasters. And graduate student DeAndrea Nichols was chosen to help open the meeting. WUSTL hosted last year’s event.

The closing session of CGI U at Washington University has just concluded and the enthusiasm and passion in the room is still very much on my mind. We ended CGI U with a rousing, entertaining and deeply inspirational session featuring Comedy’s Central’s Stephen Colbert and CGI U’s namesake, President Bill Clinton.

More than 60 of the 118 innovative, far-reaching projects that Washington University in St. Louis students have committed to accomplish as part of this year’s Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) April 5-7 will be on display at Faces of Hope. Also, WUSTL leaders will announce the university’s institutional Commitment to Action, a significant investment in a more sustainable future, during the event from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in the Danforth University Center, 6475 Forsyth Blvd.
CGI U announces 2013 speakers; new CGI University Network to fund student commitments
President Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton announced the program and featured participants for the sixth annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) to be held at Washington University in St. Louis April 5-7. In addition to President Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, Stephen Colbert, Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus and WUSTL’s Michael Sherraden are among the featured speakers.
