St. Louis Children’s Hospital

A participant in Pedal the Cause, the cycling event started three years ago to raise money for cancer research in St. Louis, surpassed its $2 million goal this year.

The region’s first maternal-fetal transport service that includes both obstetrics and pediatrics expertise is being launched this month by the School of Medicine and St. Louis Children’s and Barnes-Jewish hospitals.

Doctors at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have found that less than 1 percent of children who had surgery at St. Louis Children’s Hospital developed an infection at the surgical site within 30 days, they report in the Journal of the American College of Surgeons.
