Brophy named to orthopaedic surgery board

Sports medicine specialist Robert H. Brophy, MD, associate professor of orthopaedic surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, has been elected to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons board of directors. He was elected at the organization’s annual meeting in March.

In recent years, Brophy has served on numerous committees for the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Orthopaedic Association and the Orthopaedic Research Society. He also was on the editorial board of The American Journal of Sports Medicine.
