
Linda J. Sandell, the Mildred B. Simon Professor or Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Osteoarthritis Research Society International.
Sandell is co-director of the Musculoskeletal Research Center and of research in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. She was chosen to receive the society’s Lifetime Achievement Award following years of research into the causes of osteoarthritis. The award was presented March 31 at the annual meeting of the society in Amsterdam.
