John Bowen receives global citizenship award

John Bowen, a sociocultural anthropologist and the Dunbar-Van Cleve Professor in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, received the Dr. Jean Mayer Global Citizenship Award from Tufts University’s Institute for Global Leadership as part of a symposium on “Europe in Turmoil,” held at Tufts Feb.17-21.

Holtzman, Lützeler to receive 2015 faculty achievement awards

David M. Holtzman, a leading expert in researching the underlying mechanisms that lead to Alzheimer’s disease, and Paul Michael Lützeler, an authority on 18th, 19th and 20th century German literature, will receive Washington University in St. Louis’ 2015 faculty achievement awards, Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton announced.

Distinguished Faculty, Goldstein honors awarded

Several School of Medicine faculty members were honored by the school Jan. 29 at the 2014 Faculty Recognition Event at the Eric P. Newman Education Center. Faculty members were honored at the event with Distinguished Faculty and Samuel R. Goldstein Leadership awards.
