Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton presented Phyllis Jackson, associate director of Campus Life – event management, with the Gloria W. White Distinguished Service Award at the annual Staff Day celebration May 22 in Edison Theatre.
Cosby receives Gloria White award
Cynthia Cosby, a champion for African-American students and alumni of Washington University in St. Louis, was the 18th recipient of the Gloria W. White Distinguished Service Award. Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton presented the award to Cosby before 700 of her peers at the annual Staff Day celebration May 18.
Cook receives Gloria White service award
Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton presented Helen Kathleen Cook, PhD, of the Department of Anthropology, with the Gloria W. White Distinguished Service Award. The recognition was part of the annual Staff Day activities May 19.
Cornerstone’s Fields wins Gloria White service award

Fields was honored for his dedication to supporting students at Cornerstone, the Center for Advanced Learning.

Nominations now are being accepted for the Gloria W. White Distinguished Service Award. Named for the late Gloria White, who retired in 1997 as vice chancellor for human resources after 30 years, the award recognizes a staff member for his or her exceptional effort and contributions that result in the betterment of the university.

Help the university recognize a staff member who goes above and beyond to help students, faculty or others in the WUSTL community by nominating him or her for the Gloria W. White Distinguished Service Award. The Gloria White award recognizes a staff member for his or her exceptional effort and contributions that result in the betterment of the university. Nominations must be submitted by Friday, Feb. 24.
School of Law’s Owens receives Gloria White service award
In her 32 years at the School of Law, Beverly M. Owens has supported the education and research endeavors of thousands of law faculty members and students. In recognition of her hard work and dedication, Owens, assistant director for faculty support in the law school, was recognized with the Gloria W. White Distinguished Service Award in a May 23 ceremony in Edison Theatre.
