University of Michigan IT innovator John Gohsman will serve as Washington University’s first chief information officer. During his 30-year career, Gohsman found new ways to use information technology to help in the classroom and labratory.
Women in IT mentoring program kickoff scheduled
The opening session of “SPIN-IT: A Leadership Program for Women in IT” will be held April 24. The event features a guest speaker, Vivian Eveloff, director of the Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. The event is open to members of the WUSTL community, but space is limited.
Women in IT leadership program seeks applicants
“SPIN-IT: A Leadership Program for Women in IT” is accepting applications. The new program aims to encourage and support women, both staff members and students, pursuing careers in information technology. The deadline for staff members to apply is Friday, March 15; the deadline for student applications is March 22.

The Business Community and Pandemic Flu Roundtable is sponsored by the Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science’s Center for the Application of Information Technology (CAIT) and the University’s School of Medicine. CAIT is St. Louis’ center for IT training, professional development, and executive interaction for more than 25 years.
