Displaying depth, breadth of undergrad research

More than 170 Washington University in St. Louis undergraduates showcased their research projects through poster, visual and oral presentations during the 2014 Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium, held April 28 in Bauer and Knight halls.

2013 Spector Prize goes to two students

This year the Spector Prize has been awarded to two students, Megan Kelly and Jennifer Stevens.The prize, given by the Department of Biology in memory of a 1938 WUSTL graduate, recognizes outstanding undergraduate achievement in research. Kelly did research on the chemical signals used by malaria parasites and Stevens on evolutionary trade-offs in weakly electric fish.

Sharing best practices

Henry Biggs, PhD, associate dean in Arts & Sciences and director of the Office of Undergraduate Research, welcomes some 150 Council on Undergraduate Research members to the Gateways to Best Practices for Undergraduate Research Program Directors Conference, held June 14-16 at Washington University.
