Registered and ready — Washington University students are engaged voters
Some 2,065 Washington University in St. Louis students have registered using TurboVote. And thousands more have registered online or in their home state. The Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement is working to boost the campus registration rate to 80 percent and the registered voter participation rate to 65 percent.
University-wide voter registration Sept. 18
The Gephardt Institute for Public Service is coordinating a university-wide voter registration campaign Tuesday, Sept. 18. On that day, the institute will conduct Missouri voter registration and provide information on absentee ballot registration.
Register to vote by March 10 for April 6 election
On April 6, St. Louis County residents get to decide on a tax increase that will provide $75 million annually to expand and operate the Metro system, which includes Metro bus, MetroLink light rail and Call-A-Ride services. In order to have a voice on this important issue, students, faculty and staff must be registered to vote in Missouri by Wednesday, March 10.
