Media Credential Information for Oct. 8 Presidential Debate

The Commission on Presidential Debates’ deadline for credentialing for the October 8 debate has expired. The Commission will no longer be credentialing media for the debate in the Athletic Complex.

However, media who want to be on campus October 7 and October 8 for other debate-related activities, Washington University in St. Louis will be issuing ID’s. Media who would like to be cleared to be on campus will need to be credentialed at the Credentialing Center by presenting a media ID or a letter, on letterhead, from the News Director of their organization. NEW!!! – Network/Affiliate Truck Parking Deadline
It is recommended that every network affiliate truck/van be parked by 5am Friday, as only small affiliate vans can be allowed into the lot after 5am.

Credentials pick-up
Media whose credentialing applications have been approved can pick up their credentials from the Credentialing Center in Room 410 on the 4th floor of the Laboratory Science Building on Washington University’s Hilltop Campus. The Laboratory Science Building is on Throop Drive, next to the Ann W. Olin Women’s Building.

The Credentialing Center hours will be:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 5, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 6, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 7, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 8, 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

Public viewing area access
While media credentials are not required to access the public viewing area, any news media may be asked to provide a bona fide press I.D. while on campus.
