The office is dedicated to enhancing and expanding the diversity of the University’s student population while serving as an advocate for a diverse faculty. The office also aims to encourage underrepresented and economically disadvantaged high school and college students to pursue careers in medical science. And by developing a robust clinical outreach program for underserved groups in the surrounding community, Ross explains, the University helps create “a medical center without walls.”
