The following incidents were reported to University Police Aug. 11-22. Readers with information that could assist in investigating these incidents are urged to call 935-5555. 9:34 p.m. — A person stated he left his secured bicycle outside the Cornerstone Café between 2-9:35 p.m. When he returned to the bike rack, he found his bicycle was missing.
11:53 a.m. — A backhoe slipped out of gear and rolled into two vehicles on the parking lot in front of Simon Hall.
There were no injuries and no one was in the backhoe when it struck the cars. Both vehicle owners were notified and one of the vehicles was towed.
Following a report of a suspicious subject near Myers House, an officer recognized the subject because the subject was given a no-trespass warning last year. The subject was looking at bicycles in the bike racks. The subject was arrested for trespassing and booked at county intake.
University Police also responded to four auto accidents, two reports of property damage and one report each of judicial violation, lost article, fraud, parking violation and trespassing.
