Idealist.org Graduate Degree Fair for the Public Good, Oct. 23

Are you looking for a graduate degree program that will give you the tools to help make a difference?

Attend the “Idealist.org Graduate Degree Fair for the Public Good,” from 5-8 p.m., on Oct. 23, in the Athletic Center.

The free event, hosted by the George Warren Brown School of Social Work, is dedicated to helping people connect education to a social change career.

Members of the University and St. Louis community will be able to meet with representatives from over 50 graduate programs from around the country, learn about different graduate degrees options that are designed to impact the public good and get insights on the application process from graduate admissions professionals.

“Idealist attracts both high achieving, passionate students and leading institutions to their events,” says Richard Sigg, admissions recruiter for the Brown School. “This fair is an essential first step for anyone considering a career that will make a positive impact on the community.”

Idealist is a project of Action Without Borders, a nonprofit organization founded in 1995 with offices in the United States and Argentina. Idealist.org is an interactive site where people and organizations can exchange resources and ideas, locate opportunities and supporters, and take steps toward building a world where all people can lead free and dignified lives.

The group holds graduate program fairs and social change job fairs throughout the year. This is the first time an Idealist.org fair has been held in St. Louis.

To register for the event visit www.idealist.org/gradfairs or call Sigg at 935-4382. This fair is held in cooperation with the University’s Career Center.
