Gregory P. Magarian, J.D., professor of law, speaks to a group of 25 journalists from around the world Oct. 29 in Seigle Hall. The journalists were visiting Washington University as part of the U.S. Department of State Foreign Press Center’s 2008 Midwest Election Tour. As the first presenter on the tour, Magarian gave an overview of the 2008 presidential campaign and discussed specific election issues such as voting rights and voter fraud. “It was an experience I will never forget,” Magarian said of meeting the foreign journalists. “To see that level of interest from every corner of the Earth was spectacular, and I am proud to have been a part of the tour.”
