Celebrating Campus Sustainability Day

Both the Danforth and Medical campuses celebrated Campus Sustainability Day Oct. 20 in a variety of ways. Above: Errol Sandler, PhD (right), associate dean of the Sever Institute in the School of Engineering & Applied Science, leads a group of riders from the Danforth Campus on a bike ride through Forest Park. The ride was held to raise awareness of alternate forms of transportation. Below: Jesse Evans (left) and Emily Kallen, both first-year physical therapy students, take the Power of One sustainability pledge in the 4444 Forest Park Building on the School of Medicine campus, with assistance from Janelle Hizer, program coordinator in the Program in Physical Therapy. Volunteers staffed eight information tables across the medical campus with information on the school’s sustainability efforts and ways for faculty, staff and students to get involved.
