Washington University’s magazine launches new online edition

Washington, the magazine for Washington University in St. Louis, is changing. An online version of the magazine will be published six times a year (October, December, February, April, June and August). This will allow the magazine to communicate with its audiences more frequently as well as lessen the magazine’s environmental impact.

The enhanced, reconfigured online version intends to feature multimedia as well as a more-immediate look at student, faculty and alumni achievements and happenings. To create the new online edition, the magazine staff worked closely with other university departments, specifically Information Services & Technology.

Visit magazine.wustl.edu to view the October 2010 issue, featuring stories of students fostering social change, faculty who teach students about how perceptions are shaped by the film industry, alumni leading a movement in sustainable workplaces, and much more.

The print edition, which has an updated look, will continue to include important news of university events, programs and research; features on students, faculty and alumni; as well as classnotes, alumni profiles and news of alumni events. It will have a publication schedule of October, February and June.

The magazine staff welcomes feedback to these changes. Send any comments to the editor at wustlmageditor@wustl.edu.
