The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams returned to action after their winter break hiatus to compete against Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and Lindenwood University Jan. 7.
Both teams captured an event win in the three-team meet. For the men’s squad, junior Chris Valach won the 1,000-meter freestyle (9:57.69) and for the women freshman Chi Pham was victorious in the 400-yard individual medley (4:41.51).
The men’s team returns to action at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, when it hosts Wabash College at the Millstone Pool. Both teams will be in competition this weekend for the Washington University Invitational.
