Mr. Wash U: That’s a wrap!

Gingerbread Brookings Junior Princeton Hynes is crowned Mr. Wash U out of 13 undergraduate candidates during the annual Mr. Wash U talent show April 5 in Edison Theatre. His talent is the ability to recall any Oscar fact (nominees or winners in any category) since the awards first were presented in 1929. On stage, he recited every Oscar-winning best picture and danced to a song from the 2002 film Chicago. A six-member judging panel of faculty, staff and students made the final decision based on personality, character, talent and contribution to the WUSTL and St. Louis communities. The show culminates a yearlong fundraising initiative by the candidates and the Mr. Wash U Executive Board. All proceeds benefit City Faces, an after-school art and tutoring program for children in St. Louis’ Clinton-Peabody public housing projects.
