University recognized for sustainability efforts

Washington University in St. Louis recently won recognition for its “green” efforts. The university took part in the St. Louis Regional Chamber’s Green Business Challenge, and it won the Star Circle of Excellence Award, the highest designation. The award recognizes the university’s efforts as a regional leader in areas including energy conservation, waste diversion, alternative transportation and water use reduction.
