Conference for corporate board directors, June 25-26 at Olin School of Business

A conference for board directors of public and private companies will be held June 25-26 at Washington University’s John M. Olin School of Business in the school’s Charles F. Knight Executive Education Center. The board of directors’ conference, “Strategies and Techniques for Improving Board Performance,” will focus on corporate governance issues.

The conference begins on Friday, June 25 at 5:30 pm with a cocktail reception and dinner. Emerson Chairman Charles F. Knight will deliver the keynote address.

On Saturday, June 26, the conference will resume at 8 am with sessions featuring Joel Seligman, dean and Ethan A.H. Shepley University Professor at the Washington University School of Law; Kevin Connelly, North American regional manager for Spencer Stuart; Eric Marquardt, principal of Towers Perrin; Todd Milbourn, associate professor of finance at the Olin School of Business; George Paz, president of Express Scripts; John O’Connor, vice chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP; and Peter Verrengia, regional president and senior partner of Fleishman Hillard. Bob Felton, director at McKinsey & Company, Inc., will deliver a luncheon keynote address.

The conference will conclude at 5 pm. A cocktail reception will follow.

The conference program fee of $1,500 includes dinner on Friday, June 25 and breakfast and lunch for all attendees on Saturday, June 26 and overnight lodging on June 25 for out-of-town attendees at the school’s Charles F. Knight Executive Education Center or a nearby hotel.
