Dance Marathon Dance-In

Dance Marathon’s 2007 “Dance-In,” aimed at generating excitement for November’s annual Dance Marathon, will start at 10 a.m. Oct. 11 in Bowles Plaza and continue Oct. 12 until $1,000 has been raised for the Children’s Miracle Network of Greater St. Louis.

All students, faculty, staff and visitors are invited to join the marathon’s executive board members by dancing and donating money. The event, from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Oct. 11 and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Oct. 12, will offer music, games and contests, prizes, bake sale, dance lessons and food. All proceeds will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network, the marathon’s chosen charity.

Dance Marathon is an entirely student-run effort to raise funds and promote awareness for the Children’s Miracle Network of Greater St. Louis. The year culminates in a 12-hour dance-a-thon from 2 p.m.-2 a.m. Nov. 3-4. The deadline to register for Dance Marathon is Oct. 17.

Children’s Miracle Network of Greater St. Louis supports St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center. One hundred percent of donated funds are used to help these hospitals fund programs, equipment and facility renovations to meet the needs of area children. In 2006, Dance Marathon donated more than $123,000 to CMN.
