Campus Watch

The following incidents were reported to University Police Nov. 1-6. Readers with information that could assist in investigating these incidents are urged to call 935-5555. This information is provided as a public service to promote safety awareness and is available on the University Police Web site at police.wustl.edu.

Nov. 1

5:57 p.m. — Victim had left a purse containing cash, a gift card and clothing items in an empty dorm room in Small Group Housing. Upon returning to retrieve the items two weeks later, she discovered them to be missing. The items had been turned in by housekeeping staff member.

Nov. 2

11:08 a.m. — Police received reports of hunting and trespassing at the Tyson Research Center complex on Antire Road.

11:39 a.m. — An officer observed a middle aged male riding a smaller women’s mountain bike through campus. The subject closely resembled a bike thief from 2003. He was arrested for a previous warrant from Maryland Heights.

Nov. 4

6 p.m. — A student worker at the Campus Y reported that someone had damaged the door on the north side of the building that leads by tunnel to Graham Chapel. He checked the area and nothing appeared to be out of place or missing. Maintenance workers were contacted to fix the door.

Nov. 6

4:18 p.m. — A student reported his bicycle had been damaged while chained to the bike rack at Small Group Housing. An office found two damaged bikes and tire tracks from what looked like a golf cart.
