Public service professor

Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton presents Karen Tokarz, J.D., with a medal signifying her installation as the Charles Nagel Professor of Public Interest Law and Public Service April 1 in the Bryan Cave Moot Courtroom of Anheuser-Busch Hall. Tokarz is the inaugural holder of this new public service professorship. At the end of this academic year, Tokarz will step down as executive director of the School of Law’s Clinical Education Program and will redirect her energies to further developing the school’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program. She also will play a key leadership role in fostering the school’s Africa Public Service Initiative. Tokarz, who also is a professor in the African & African American Studies Program in Arts & Sciences, has worked in Africa for several years.
