Clifford Holekamp, senior lecturer in entrepreneurship at Olin Business School, has been named one of 2011’s “40 Under 40” by the St. Louis Business Journal, which recognizes young professionals who have made a mark on the local business community. Holekamp was profiled in the St. Louis Business Journal’s Jan. 28 issue and will be recognized with his 39 fellow honorees at a dinner and awards program Feb. 17 at the Renaissance Grand Hotel. …

Baranidharan Raman, PhD, assistant professor of biomedical engineering, has received a two-year, $90,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce for research titled “Pattern Recognition Methods for Non-Invasive Chemical Monitoring in Complex Environments.” …

Thaddeus S. Stappenbeck, MD, PhD, associate professor of pathology and immunology and of developmental biology, has received a five-month, $674,444 grant from the Washington University/Pfizer Biomedical Research Program for research titled “Genotyping Molecular Profiling and Sequencing of Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients.”
